Children

Through collage, I use negative and positive space to portray the concept of child protection. The raven in the picture represents loneness. On the other hand, the raven is often associated with loss and misfortune. In Celtic culture, the raven represented pitilessness and the carnage of war. Through the symbolism of the raven, I express the miserableness of victims and hope the souls of those children who lost their lives in conflicts can rest in peace. The chaotic lines in this work represent the physical and psychological trauma of violence on children.
