I created this piece to convey the helplessness of civilians in war. Jagged streaks of black acrylic paint, scattered across the canvas like lightning, symbolize the cruelty and intensity of conflict. At the center, a sculpted figure clings tightly to a pillar, representing the vulnerability and fear of those caught in the violence. Set against the chaotic paint, the figure appears to be bleeding, further emphasizing the suffering of war’s victims. This work not only condemns the brutality and indifference of war but also captures the pain and despair of those affected.
