Melt

In order to reflect the problem of ice melting caused by rising temperature, I made a series of paintings. Inspired by the concept of Yin&Yang, I used black and white color interaction to present the idea of melting. The negative and positive demonstrate the causality between human behavior and global warming. The making process was letting the paint flow on the canvas, mixing up with one another while constructing the composition. In this series, white and black color interaction is gradually increasing, describing the process of glacier melting. And the more it “melted,” it started to become a picture of flame, burning the earth.
